Spytail is based on a tradition of ageing rum in barrels with fresh ginger and other spices. Infused and blended from Caribbean Rum in our family-run distillery in the Cognac Region of France using years of distilling know how. The result is a sweet and spicy spirit that can be enjoyed on its own, with mixers or in cocktails.
The continuous distillation and maturation process takes place in Trinidad, the southernmost island of the Caribbean. STOLEN Gold Rum matures for a minimum of four years in individually chosen charred American oak bourbon barrels. A selection of light and heavy molasses based rums are then carefully blended by hand. The result is a golden amber hue with butterscotch and cinnamon spice aromas on the nose with a smooth and buttery finish in the mouth. Best served neat or on the rocks with soda or ginger ale - or in your favourite cocktail. A buttery nose with apple notes and cinnamon spice aromas leads to an equally buttery palate, with notes of butterscotch and toffee apple. Slight bitter, oily astringency, especially apparent in the finish which borrows toffee apple notes from the palate.' (S. Difford UK 2010)
