At the heart of Appleton Estate Reserve Jamaica Rum lies two very old and rare marques of rum set to age in oak barrels. This very small batch of “Reserve Stock” Rum is monitored carefully through to maturity. Once the Reserve stock is at its prime, it is hand blended with 18 other aged rums to create just the right balance. The result is a smooth, complex blend with delicate nutmeg, ginger highlights and vanilla – all wrapped with orange peel notes – the hallmark of our rums. The skill and passion of our Master Blender Joy Spence shine through every bottle of this Exceptional Spirit. Appleton Estate Reserve was the very first blend she created and was launched in 2000 to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the Appleton Estate.
Coruba Original is a dark rum. It is aged in heavily charred oak barrels with caramel added for color and flavor. Coruba Original Blend is a full bodied rum with a robust flavor and hints of spices.
Coruba Gold is 100% Jamaican Rum, made in the modern rum style with its golden colour totally due to ageing in small oak barrels. While it may look like Gosling's Black Seal Rum is packaged in black glass, the bottle is actually clear. This is a rich and extremely dark rum that is a rich, deep amber color when poured. While pleasantly aromatic, Black Seal really distinguishes itself on the palate. Full-bodied and highly textured, it has delightfully full rummy flavors of vanilla, molasses, caramel and toast. Myer’s Original Dark Rum is a blend of up to nine different rums of various ages, all of which are distilled using Jamaica's typical production method: pot-stills. The Original Dark Rum is slightly unique in Jamaica however, because some of the molasses used earlier in the process is added back in after distillation. Myers rum has been produced since 1879 and named after its founder, Fred Myers."
