"Helmsman Rum is crafted from spices that have been blended with the finest Caribbean golden rums. The result is a smooth, well-rounded drop with overtones of rich vanilla, burley spices and a peppery finish. After the ageing and blending process of the rum, It will sit at 40% ABV, which help keep the original flavours of the rum intact. All of this comes together to create a unique balance of flavours that soften the flame of the rum. HISTORY OF SPICED RUM From a time of rogues and vagabonds, spiced rum has been a big part of seafaring. Traditionally, rums weren’t easy to drink and needed to be either aged or spiced. This turned an almost ‘undrinkable’ sharp rum into something palatable.
